The launch of the successor to the Mate XS 2 is scheduled for next week, March 23.
Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, has revealed some information about Huawei’s upcoming foldable flagship. Young says the Mate X3 will feature a large 7.85-inch foldable display inside. The external display is said to be 6.45 inches and both panels support LTPO technology.

Young also mentions that the Mate X3 will use UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) for the display, corroborating what Huawei teased recently. The Gizmochina report further states that it is supposedly Kunlun glass, the same high-strength drop-resistant panel used in the Huawei Mate 50 Pro which debuted in 2022. Additionally, the aforementioned displays are expected to feature 2K resolution.
Finally, the Huawei Mate X3 will be the first foldable device from the company to integrate the recently announced satellite communication function. Additionally, we could also see a new Huawei Watch Ultimate alongside the launch of the foldable device next week.
