Danielle Pashaand her 17-year-old daughter, Samiah, the founders of Beat House cosmetics, continue to make history. Over the past three years, they have signed a major distribution agreement with Citi Trends to have their products sold in 600 of their stores nationwide. And now they’ve been accepted into Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator program, which is dedicated to helping build sustainable equity and growth for black entrepreneurs.
Danielle and Samia started their business in 2020 when Samiah was only 14 years old. Now, she is 17 years old and holds the position of president of the company while her mother fills the role of CEO.
Over the years, they have been busy securing their place in the world of cosmetics. After introducing the critically acclaimed Knock Out Palette and 2020 Palette, the duo have partnered with Citi Trends Inc. for The Knockout Palette and the new “Legacy Palette,” which can also be found at Citi stores. As mom began to focus more on expanding the brand, Samiah took the reins to design and present her own collection, “The Good Girl Collection, When asked what inspired her to create the Good Girl Collection, Samiah said; I created the Good Girl Collection for all girls who are focused on nurturing, self-care, being a good person, having fun and looking good while doing it. (Samiah laughs ) “I wanted to pair colors and products that would capture that vibe. So I told my mom it was my turn, watched and learned! I was so happy she had trusted my vision for this collection. She gave me the space to create while helping me along the way. (Smiling at mom)
While Samiah maintained the Good Girl collection, Danielle released another breathtaking and aesthetically pleasing palette inspired by the season of love. On the Nakia NiteShade Podcast, Danielle said that after entering the cosmetics arena, she developed lasting friendships with MUAs around the world. “A lot of people wear makeup, but these MUAs use makeup in their day-to-day operations. When we talk, I always ask which events are the most difficult to prepare. The answer is always Weddings. I wanted to create something that had the colors and tones you would see on a wedding day.
