Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart could be the next PlayStation game to come to PC, and Bloodborne fans can’t handle it.
Yesterday March 13, a detective Reddit (opens in a new tab) The user got the fact that Nixxes, the studio that helps PlayStation developers bring their games to PC, has listed new work. The role, a UX/UI engineer (opens in a new tab)looking for someone familiar with “coherent middleware”, a game tool that was used to develop Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.
Now, Bloodborne fans on Reddit are taking this news particularly hard. “I’m going to assume that Sony will literally port every game they have to PC eventually. except bloodborne“wrote one Reddit user, pretty effectively summing up the feelings of all Bloodborne fans around the world.
“Pain never stops hunter,” they wrote, trying to emulate Bloodborne’s adorable (?) Doll. “At this point, I’m going to turn into a slug myself,” says another Reddit user, recalling the fond memories Bloodborne fans have of turning into a charming slug at one of the game’s many endings.
A blood-borne PC port, as well as a PS5 remaster, have been on the minds of fans for years now. There have been several rumors of a port over the past three years or so, one of which is actually debunked by a well-known modderand none of the other rumors ever produced anything concrete.
FromSoftware’s 2015 game is locked at 30fps on the older PlayStation console, only playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility. Fans desperately want a Bloodborne revival because it’s arguably FromSoftware’s best game, and quite possibly one of the greatest games ever made. A re-release of any kind still doesn’t seem likely for Bloodborne.
