‘No Hard Feelings’ Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence Stars in R-Rated Comedy

Sony has released the first trailer for the steamy comedy “No strong emotions,” in which Jennifer Lawrence plays a woman who responds to the Craigslist ad of two helicopter parents to sleep with their 19-year-old protected son before he goes to college.

The highly R-rated trailer opens with Lawrence’s character, Maddie, approaching awkward Percy at a dog adoption center, asking “Do you mind if I touch your sausage?” before revealing that he is holding a wiener dachshund dog. On the verge of losing her childhood home, Maddie resorts to every last-ditch effort to fulfill the parents’ dubious request to sleep with Percy. She dunks lean, applies Long Island iced tea to him and, in a hilarious scene, kidnaps him in a van before getting pepper sprayed in the face.

In addition to Lawrence, the cast includes Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy, Matthew Broderick as his father, Laura Benanti as his mother, as well as Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Scott MacArthur and more. Producers include Lawrence, Alex Saks, Naomi Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero, Justine Ciarrocchi, and executive producers John Phillips and Kerry Orent.

Gene Stupnitsky is directing “No Hard Feelings” from a screenplay he wrote with John Phillips. Previously, Stupnitsky directed the equally steamy 2019 comedy “Good Boys,” a coming-of-age flick starring Jacob Tremblay, and co-wrote 2011’s “Bad Teacher” and 2009’s “Year One.” .

Lawrence has just enjoyed a resurgence over the past two years, including starring in last year’s Apple TV+ drama “Causeway,” as well as Netflix’s doomsday comedy “Don’t Look Up.” 2021.

“No Hard Feelings” opens in theaters June 23. Watch the R-rated trailer below.
