Netflix Fixes Mistake In Chris Rock Special During Will Smith Joke

netflix removed an error made by Chris Rock in his comedy special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.

In the special, the comedian discusses the moment at last year’s Oscars Or Will Smith slapped him on stage.

At one point, Rock claims that Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were mad at him beforehand when he hosted the Oscars back in 2016.

“Years ago his wife said I should quit the Oscars, I shouldn’t host because her man wasn’t nominated for Emancipationbiggest shit ever,” Rock told the crowd in Baltimore, Maryland (via decision maker).

After naming the wrong movie, Rock quickly corrected himself, adding, “No, not Emancipation, I screwed up the joke. She started this shit. She said I, a fucking adult, should quit her job because ‘My husband wasn’t nominated for Concussion‘.”

The fix was reported by Vulture Jesse David Fox on Twitterwho wrote: “They repaired the ConcussionEmancipation slip into the version that’s now on Netflix.

He added: “It makes me wonder if there were any other adjustments!”

Speaking about the Oscars slap, Rock said: “Everyone knows it happened. I got slapped a year ago. I got slapped at the Oscars by that motherfucker. And people say, ‘ Does it hurt ?’ It still hurts. I have ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ear.

The comedian said he ‘was not a victim’ in the ordeal, adding; “You will never see me on Oprah crying. That will never happen. ‘I couldn’t believe it, and I loved it men in black‘. No! Fuck that shit, I took that hit like [boxer Manny] Pacquiao. ‘Does it hurt?’ Yes damn it hurts.

It was recently claimed that Smith had “tried unsuccessfully” to make amends with the comedian after the incident.
