After months of speculation, it seems that everyone’s favorite Southern belle, Phaedra Parkswill actually be back on a specific television network that she knows all too well.
The former ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star raised her eyebrows earlier this year after learning she had been cast in ‘Married to Medicine’ on Bravo.
However, other than an anonymous source, no further information has been given about Parks’ show swap. That was until former “RHOA” TV producer Carlos King backed up those claims on his podcast “Reality with the King”, as does an Instagram page called @Queensofbravoplus.
“It’s official – Phaedra Parks joins #Married2Med and Contessa & Anila are OUT,” the Instagram post read.
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe joined the popular reality show in 2017 during the series’ fifth season and confirmed his departure in an interview with LoveBScott.com. As for Anila Sajja, she and her husband, Dr. Kiran Sajja, recently joined the cast in 2021 for the eighth season of the show.
The Neighborhood Talk shared the news of Parks’ new gig, and fans couldn’t contain their excitement to see her back on their TV screens.
“I thought you all said she was never coming back to Bravo [eye emojis].”
“Yes, Phae Phae belongs to TV.”
“Child Phaedra and Heavenly will have me on the edge of my seat if they can shadow each other.”
In addition to fans, it looks like Dr. Heavenly Kimes is all about getting Parks to join the cast in season 10.
While answering questions from fans on Twitter in January, the doctor was to share his thoughts on Parks’ alleged affiliation with “Married to Medicine.”
“Love the idea,” Kimes replied.
While Parks joining the cast is exciting news, several fans were intrigued to find out who she was affiliated with so she could be on the show, since she is a lawyer.
Some speculation has pointed to Quad Webb’s “Married to Medicine,” due to the two ladies maintaining a strong friendship over the years. But Parks also recently revealed that she is currently romantically linked to a doctor.
During her BravoCon 2022 appearance, the 49-year-old played coy, but said she and her mystery man have been together for “almost a year” and that her kids; Ayden Nida, 12, and Dylan Nida, 9, “met him, they love him”. She shared her two children with ex-husband Apollo Nida.
The last time fans saw Parks as a main cast member was in 2016 during an explosive argument with former bestie Kandi Burruss at the “RHOA” Season 9 reunion.
Burruss and Parks’ heated encounter came after the former Xscape singer learned that Parks had created a rumor about her and her husband, Todd Tucker, wanting to drug Porsha Williams and take advantage of her.
Since his high-profile exit, Parks and Burruss haven’t been able to mend their once-close-knit friendship.
