Morrissey confirmed last month that he had recorded a new album called ‘Without Music The World Dies’., and shared his full tracklist. His 13th and most recent full effort, “I am not a dog tied to a chain”came out in 2020.
The star then announced his next LP “Teenage Bonfire” in May 2021, and said last October that the project would be released via Capitol in 2023. At the end of December 2022, however, Morrissey explained that he had “voluntarily withdrawn from any association with Capitol Records”.
He also revealed that Miley Cyruswho recorded backing vocals for the βBonfireβ¦β track βI Am Veronicaβ in 2020, had requested that his vocals be removed from the song.
Morrissey said in a statement that while Capitol still retains ownership of “Bonfire Of Teenagers,” the label would not release it. It came after it was discontinued by BMG in November 2020.
