Kelsea Ballerini ‘Penthouse’ Performance on ‘SNL’

In his second performance of the evening, Kelsea Ballerini taken at the saturday night live stage for a performance of his song “Penthouse”.

During the performance, dancers and his backing band dressed in white, creating a minimalist aesthetic, while letting the pure emotions of his lyrics and vocals shine through.

“We played the role five nights, but we were never there on the weekend, baby / We got along just fine, but when I left town, did you hate it / One day the curtain started to die for / You changed the second we were moving / Guess bad can look good / When you’re playing at home in a penthouse, baby,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

While Ballerini has been open about how her divorce from singer Morgan Evans affected her, she revealed in an interview on the call her daddy podcast May she finally find moments of joy in this new chapter of her life. She learns to manage dating and balance it with fame.

“I want to be respectful…and everything is new to me: dating someone, being photographed with someone. Everything is really new, and I’m tiptoeing. And I’m happy. I’m really learning again a lot about myself and how I present myself in a relationship and how I present myself. It was a very beautiful awakening.
