If you’re like me, you can’t choose one continuous outlet, you all need them. And with so many subscriptions, the decision of what to watch each weekend can be… well, daunting.
For me, it is useful to have everything written down. There are plenty of random movies and TV shows hitting the streaming sphere every weekend, but for this article, I’ve researched all of the best and most enticing options available. These are the shows and movies people have been talking about and will continue to fuel the conversation.
Below, you’ll find the best options at major outlets streaming this weekend. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, they’re all included. Hope you find something that piques your interest.
Triangle of Sadness – Hulu
Without a doubt, the most exciting new option this weekend is triangle of sadness. Thanks to Hulu, this Oscar-nominated film has become one of the few Best Picture nominees available to streaming subscribers. The film centers on a couple invited to a luxury cruise filled with very wealthy people completely disconnected from society.
Chris Rock: Selective Outrage – Netflix
Netflix has recently gotten into some experimental ideas, including games and interactive TV shows. But this weekend marks another first: Netflix’s first stab during a live-action stand-up special. And of course, they brought in the biggest name in stand-up: Chris Rock. You don’t want to miss this one.
Daisy Jones and the Six (Season 1) – Amazon Prime
If you’re a fan of musical biopics, then this Amazon series is for you. Note, this is not a real story, because the story of Daisy Jones & The Six is pure fiction. But the trailer signals all the drama you’d expect from a musical troupe story. The show is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel.
House Party – HBO Max
house party is a classic ’90s comedy. And given all the nostalgic remakes happening these days, an update to this beloved gem was inevitable. The film stars Jacob Latimore and DC Young Fly, but also promises appearances from LeBron James, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) and Snoop Dogg.
Waco: The Aftermath (Season 1) – Paramount+
If there’s anyone in Hollywood you can always count on for a great performance, it’s Michael Shannon. In partnership with other great actors like Giovanni Ribisi and Gary Cole, this continuation of the waco miniseries explores the tragic events of Waco’s Siege of Mount Carmel.
Jurassic World – Peacock
Of course, there are always plenty of new movies and shows to choose from every weekend. But sometimes you just want to relax with something familiar. The biggest option in this department this weekend is jurassic world. The update of the jurassic park The franchise follows luxury resort Jurassic World as things spiral out of control with the park’s genetically engineered dinosaurs.
