Tool Drop 2023 Return Bombshell with video

According to various reports, about a month ago, Tool drummer Danny Carey hinted at “big” things to come when it came to the longtime LA band. He hinted at a potential tour or festival performance that had been planned and apparently scheduled for some time very soon.

According Ultimate Guitar, Metal Injection reported that rehearsals for Tool’s new plans may have already begun. Various sources also endorsed speculation with Tool guitarist Adam Jones sharing his footage of the band rehearsing “Rosetta Stoned” (which was only played a handful of times in 2018-19) alongside Carey and bassist Justin Chancellor, in which you can check out some brief images below:

Tool’s most recent show was an appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival last June, when the band had already completed a US tour three months prior.

Tool was reportedly working on a new album, which Carey insisted on not repeating the 13-year gap between 2006’s “10,000 Days” and 2019’s “Fear Inoculum.” Undeniably, the gap between the two albums was substantial , and fans have now been informed and can rest assured that they will be treated to more continued music from Tool.

Tool fans beware. The band you’ve been dreaming of hearing is back – and maybe better than ever.
