James Hetfield is the guitarist and vocalist of one of the biggest metal bands in the world, and now he’s getting into comedy.

Well, to be fair, Hetfield has taken on acting roles in the past; by a look at his IMDb pageyou can see he’s done quite a bit of voice work, appearing on shows like The simpsons And Metalocalypse. But now the Metallic the leader assumes the role of a live actor.

As reported by DeadlineHetfield will star alongside Peter Dinklage (Game Of Thrones) and Juliette Lewis (born killers) in an upcoming Western thriller titled The thicket.

The premise of the film is as follows:

“Set in West Texas, the film follows a boy who, after his sister is kidnapped by a violent killer known only as Cut Throat Bill, enlists a fierce bounty hunter named Reginald Jones who becomes a reluctantly the leader of the group of outcasts looking for the stolen girl.

The thicket is based on the novel of the same name by Joe R. Lansdale, and while the film’s release date hasn’t been confirmed at this time, it looks like it will be released on the Tubi streaming service.

It’s super cool to see Hetfield go further in the world of acting. This may be the start of a new career for him; alongside his work in The thicketmaybe he will continue to act in other films and TV shows.
