AEW Star Reveals Their Current Storyline Will End After The AEW Revolution

Since its debut in December 2020, AEW Dynamite: Winter is coming produced some of AEWthe most iconic TV moments. The first iteration of the special featured Sting’s AEW debut as well as Kenny Omega defeating Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. The following year, AEW World Champion Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson fought for the first 60-minute draw in company history. Most recently December 2022 Winter is coming featured one of the biggest upsets in recent pro wrestling memory in the form of Action Andretti defeating Chris Jericho.

Since that shock win, Andretti has picked up Ws on Dark AEW And AEW Rampage while remaining in the spotlight on AEW Dynamite. He also aligned himself with Ricky Starks, coming to the aid of the Absolute One when the Jericho Appreciation Society would play the numbers game.

While staying close to Jericho’s story helped keep Andretti in a good position, Jericho said In The Kliq that he thinks the two will go their separate ways after this Sunday.

“After Revolution, our story is probably going to be over for now, Action Andretti and Jericho,” Jericho said. “By the way, I never got the win back. I don’t need it. I never need to beat Action Andretti, and I never will. I’ll never beat Action Andretti. I’m telling you now. Now he has to go alone, but we had a great three-month affair. Now the dust will settle. Where will he end up? It’s kind of up to him.

Jericho added that Andretti has already seen some life after that story, as evidenced by his fight last Wednesday.

“But [Wednesday on Dynamite], Tony Khan put it in the ladder match and it had nothing to do with me,” Jericho continued. “I’m like, that’s really cool. Now Tony thinks of him as a guy on our show, because stalling on Dynamite isn’t easy. It’s a two hour show and our list is full. Going on this show is a big deal, and going on this show on your own merits is a big deal. I was almost like a proud father. Good for you kid. Now you are all alone. Fly away a little bird and become an eagle.”

Jericho takes on Ricky Starks this Sunday at AEW Revolution.
