Becky G looked ready to walk down the aisle at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards. On March 1, a day before she turns 26, the “MAMII” singer walked the red carpet in a sheer black mini dress by Nicolas Jebran. The bride-to-be, who announced her engagement to her fiancé Sebastian Lletget in December, paired the sheer ensemble with an ombré veil in black and midnight blue. Unless she was carrying a bouquet of black roses, she looked like a The bride inspired by Tim Burton come to life.

The black and blue corset dress featured a sheer base layered with crystal-embellished mesh panels. The bust was edged in lace and the bodice featured a row of crystal buttons that ran down to the velvet detailing of her skirt. The vine-like design offered some coverage from behind, curving from the mid-back to mid-thigh. She styled the minidress with a blue veil trimmed in black lace. Composed of three rows of headbands adorned with crystals, the crown of the veil connected the whole.
When asked why she chose to step out in the sultry bridal look, Becky G, who was the night’s Music Impact winner, said entertainment tonight, “Why not? I mean honestly, it was a piece, that dress, when I put it on. I was like, ‘Wow, that feels good!’ I once gave it my own twist and Beckified it [really] felt good.”
Stylist Morgan Pinney completed Becky G’s outfit with sky-high platform sandals. Pinney also adorned the star with sapphire and silver jewelry from Dena Kemp, Grace Lee and Stefere. On her ears, Becky G wore a pair of curly vertical earrings, which beautifully complemented her silver nose ring and layered cross necklace. Even surrounded by stacked statement rings, she engagement ring – an oval-cut solitaire diamond sitting on a band of gold – shone against it rich girl nails as she posed for the cameras.
Becky G and Lletget started dating in 2016. Following the announcement of their engagement, the two have been enjoying the engaged life and are in no rush to walk down the aisle. “I really want to enjoy being engaged,” she told ET, adding that she and FC Dallas soccer player Lletget are busy with their careers. “Because it happened and I really didn’t know it, everyone was like, ‘You knew this was going to happen!’ I was like, ‘I swear to God, I had no idea!’ So I’m still kind of like in this cloud nine of it all.”
The finished look was reminiscent of one of Kourtney Kardashian’s many wedding dresses during her international wedding circuit. While it doesn’t look like Becky G has opted for an official wedding dress for the big day, we can’t wait to see what other pre-wedding looks the star has in her wardrobe.
